This is the song that Sean Olohan composed for the centenary of the Missionary Sisters of |St. Columban:
Sisters in Religion
A century of service, a century of light
100 years of sunshine (you gave) but the sun not always bright
So many lands across the world you are a shining light
Guiding souls where’re you go on darkest nights.
Chorus:
Sisters in religion together hand in hand
A Sisterhood in every land
100 years of selfless grace a future full of love
A deep embrace sent down to you from our dear God above
Through challenges and trials so much that you have seen
Your spirit shines this we know and your colour forever green.
Chorus:
Sisters in religion together hand in hand
A Sisterhood in every land
You are a beacon of heavenly light piercing through the dark
So many countries you have been, each one you left your mark
You serve so well spreading the word as you land on every shore.
Columban Sisters is what we’ll see-the next 100 years or more.
