Sister Rosarii expresses her gratitude in the following lines:

Diamond Jubilee

On this my Diamond Jubilee Day I thank God for all the joys and blessings of this day with my family and community here in Magheramore. This was brought home to me in the words of the responsorial psalm of the Mass: “I have carried you on eagle’s wings. I will care for you in all your years.” I thank my parents, my family and friends who sustained me over the years by their prayers, their faithfulness and their love.
Our chaplain, Fr Pat Donohoe, was the celebrant of the liturgy, made beautiful by the wonderful singing of the choir. Sister Ita Hannaway gave an inspiring talk which touched us all.

My sisters Margaret and Kathleen were there with members of my family, some coming for the first time to Magheramore! We all enjoyed the wonderful meal in the dining room after the ceremony – thanks to Sr Ita McElwain and her excellent staff.

I am grateful to the Congregation who accepted me and empowered me by my profession of vows to come closer each day to the realization of my dream to be a missionary sister. My companions on my journey were my support and inspiration. The people to whom I was sent in Korea, China and London accepted me and I was blessed with the kindness of strangers I met on the way.

By my vocation God has not only given me the light of Faith but has made it possible for me to kindle and strengthen it in others and continue to pass it on. At the end I realize the power of the dream that God put in my heart.

Let me end by thanking all of you who share this dream, all who prayed for me or contacted me on my Jubilee. May the Lord give you a double share in the blessings he has so generously given to me.
