suhangela_silverjubilee1 Sr Angela Suh Il-lang celebrated her Silver Jubilee on 24 March

The Sisters of the Area of Korea had just concluded their General Visitation Assembly led by Sisters Ann Gray (Congregational Leader) and Sister Anne Carbon (Congregational Councillor).  So it was a fitting time for Angela to celebrate her 25 Years as a Professed Columban Sister.

Angela made 1st Profession in 1989 and was missioned in Chile doing pastoral work in Santiago. She was  a participant in a Religious Formators Course there and later when she returned to Korea, she was appointed Directress of Novices, an office she held for 11 years. She is currently based in Seoul.

At the Jubilee Mass celebrated by Columban Fr Donal O’Keefe, and in the company of members of the local Columban community, Columban friends and benefactors and Columban Fathers, Angela renewed her Vows. This was confirmation of her ongoing Missionary Commitment to God in and through the Church and the Missionary Sisters of St Columban.

After the Liturgy, all gathered for a meal in the convent dining room during which Angela accompanied by Sister Ann Gray, Congregational Leader, cut the Silver Jubilee cake.
