A snapshot of Missionary life in Pakistan where the Sisters were able to provide the following services / facilities to local people thanks to the generous donations received during the year:

  1. St John Study Centre

The St. John Study Centre, located in Hijrat Colony, serves a vulnerable community where many Christian families work as daily labourers or sweepers and live in a slum area. Due to irregular family incomes, many children are unable to attend school or drop out.

The centre’s mission is to prepare these children to return to school at age-appropriate grade levels. Currently, over 50 children are enrolled, benefiting from the centre’s academic and emotional support. By the end of the year, 35 children successfully returned to school, supported by the centre through the provision of school admission fees, uniforms, bags, textbooks, and supplies. Efforts continue to prepare additional children for school reintegration in the coming year.

  1. Solar Energy System

Frequent and prolonged power outages have posed significant challenges for the centre, with electricity often unavailable for half of the day. As a result, children were forced to study in extreme heat or in darkness, relying on battery-powered lights. To address this issue, a solar energy system was installed, providing reliable 24-hour electricity. This upgrade has significantly improved conditions for both the children and the staff. The system now ensures uninterrupted power for the community hall where the centre operates, as well as for the church located on the first floor. This improvement has also enabled smooth operation of community events and church activities without concerns about power outages.

  1. Small Income Project

To support young mothers in the community, the centre initiated a small income-generation project. Women were trained to produce items such as bags and summer pyjamas, which were sold at church bazaars. This initiative provided these mothers with a modest but meaningful source of income, helping to alleviate some of their financial hardships.

     4. Human Development Project in Three Orphanages in Karachi

To accompany and guide marginalized over 100 girls in Pakistan, helping them heal from past wounds and discover their God-given worth and purpose through creative and faith-based activities which are Mandala Art & Sharing, Bible-Based Drama, Liturgical Dance & Music, Watching video and Group Discussions.

Through these activities, the girls began to open up emotionally and spiritually, moving away from their initial guarded and expressionless states. Their participation revealed growth in confidence, emotional expression, and understanding of their unique value.

While the activity of watching video a poignant moment occurred when a girl named Muqaddas asked, “Does God have a purpose for me too?”

This highlighted the deep yearning for self-worth and purpose among the children. These experiences have reaffirmed the mission’s significance in helping these girls realize that they are loved, valued, and irreplaceable in God’s eyes. Guide and support them on their journey of healing and self-discovery.
