First Profession

At First Profession the novice dedicates herself to God and undertakes the live missionary religious life in the Congregation. This commitment is made by the public profession of temporary vows, valid for three years. After a further period of three years the Sister makes Final Profession.

During this time, through the experience of communion of life and apostolic service, the Sister is helped to acquire a better knowledge of the Congregation and a deeper understanding of its spirit as she prepares for Final Profession. This period affords both herself and the Congregation the necessary opportunities to verify her vocation as a Missionary Sister of St Columban.
