The Columban Sisters wish you, dear friends, benefactors, mission companions and all your loved ones a peaceful and joyous Christmas.
We live in times of great change as old ways collapse making way for the new. Our challenge is to retain our Christian values of love, compassion, faith, hope and peace as we embrace the new.
The turbulence we witness daily on the world stage is merely a reflection of what is going on for all of humanity as individuals and groups.
We often struggle with change which invites us to step out of our comfort zone and Trust that all will be well… to embrace the unknown rather than living in fear of it. It is during these times of transition that our Faith is truly tested.
It is more important than ever now that we stay grounded through prayer. The miracle of prayer can never be underestimated.
Let us pray for all of humanity and all living creatures on this beautiful planet.
Let us pray for protection and guidance as we bravely step forward into the Light.
Let us pray for Peace.
Every day we are gifted with the choice of living in fear or in Love. No one knew this better than Christ – His faith was constantly tested and He chose Love to the end.
So now, as we celebrate the birth of Christ who came here to be the Light and show us the way, let us choose Love in His name, let us share Love and let us Be Love.
‘Love casts out Fear’ (1 John 4:18)
‘And now these three remain: Faith, Hope and Love. But the greatest of these is Love’ (Corinthians 13:13)
