There was a great gathering in our Motherhouse, Magheramore, on Saturday, 19th May, to celebrate the 85th Anniversary of the first Columban Sisters’ Sale of Work in 1927.

Sale of Work Committee members and helpers, supporters, friends, sisters and their relatives all joined with the local Community in a celebration of the Eucharist presided over by Fr. Pat Donohue SSC. Sister Ann Gray, Columban Sisters’ Congregational Leader delivered the Homily which recaps precious memories of the Sale of Work’s long history and particularly of its pioneer, Miss Nancy Hogg.

Our catering Staff surpassed themselves in preparing a delicious buffet lunch while Sr. Anne Carbon took pictures to keep in memory this momentous occasion of celebrating together the 85 years of lay collaboration in the mission entrusted to the Columban Sisters.
