Expression of sincere thanks…

 

Sr. Nora Wiseman, after 44 years of mission in Korea, returned to Ireland on 15th March. A special thanksgiving and farewell Mass was offered in the Columban Sisters’ convent in Seoul to celebrate 44 years of her mission in Korea. She received an expression of sincere thanks from the bishop of Chuncheon; Kim Woon-hoe during the Mass. Sr. Nora was missioned in diocese of Chuncheon for 28 years. One of senior priests from Chuncheon, Fr. Kim Taek-shin concelebrated with priests from Chuncheon and Columban priests.

Blessing for Sr. Nora

Sr. Nora was born in April 1946, entered Missionary Sisters of St. Columban in March 1964. She made her first profession of vows in September 1966. Sr. Nora was assigned to Korea in 1973, and started her mission in St. Columban’s clinic, Mokpo in the southern part of Korea.

She has been helping elderly people and those who are terminally ill in St. Columban’s Home in   Chuncheon since 2004.

Sr Nora is at present living in the Columban Sisters Motherhouse in Magheramore, Co. Wickl
