Sister Mihwa Carolyn Kim renewed her vows for three years in Davao, Misamis Oriental, Philippines on March 17, 2009. The ceremony of Renewal took place during the celebration of the Eucharist and was witnessed by Columban Sisters Cecilia Cuizon and Minerva Dangaran who had travelled from Ozamiz, Misamis Occidental for the occasion. Mihwa, a Korean Columban sister, was assigned to Mindanao within the past year. She is presently in Davao studying Cebuano, the language she will need for her ministry when she returns to Ozamiz. Fr. Peter Matthew, C.S. Sp. from Nigeria, currently studying with Mihwa, celebrated the Mass of Renewal. The Marist Sisters with whom Mihwa is boarding at present were in attendance as were a number of her friends from school. |
