Columban Sister Rebeca Duque Makes Final Vows

Sister Rebeca Duque from Cerro de Pasco in the Highlands of Peru celebrated her Final Profession as a Missionary Sister of St. Columban on Saturday March, 13, 2004 in Puente Alto on the outskirts of Santiago in Chile. 
 

Accompanied by  sisters, priests, lay missionaries, together with members of her family who travelled from Peru to be with her on this joyful occasion, Rebeca pronounced her vows among the people to whom she had been missioned for the past three years.

Sister Rebeca signs the document on which is written the  formula of vows which she has just pronounced.

The main celebrant at the Eucharist was Fr. Michael Hoban, SSC. 
Anita Jara ( Columban postulant) read  the First Reading, Sister Marita Duque (Rebeca's sister) read the Psalm and Sister Angela McKeever,SSC read the Second Reading.
Sister Anne Marie Smith,SSC gave the homily.

Relatives, friends and members of the Basic Christian Communities of the parish of St. Pedro Nolasco and members of the Peruvian community in Chile  participated in the Offertory Procession
