Columban Sisters Meet in Magheramore- July, 2003

During the week of July 21, the Columban Sisters living and working in Britain and Ireland were joined by sisters home on holidays from other mission Areas for the annual summer gathering.

This event gives sisters an opportunity to meet each other again, often after a long absence. In addition, sisters are invited to spend time together learning about and sharing on some essential dimension of their lives as religious and missionaries.

Columban Sisters in Small Group Discussion

The theme for this year’s gathering was “Change.”
The meeting was facilitated by Sr. Liz Murphy, a Sister of Mercy.  Using a variety of activities and prayer experiences, Liz helped the sisters deepen their awareness of the centrality of change for growth – both individually and as a group.
As well as the formal sharing in groups, sisters had an opportunity  to renew old friendships and make new ones as they updated  each other on  the things that are happening in Columban misson today.
