Columban Sister and Associates met at
the Motherhouse in Wicklow, Ireland to celebrate the
Diamond Jubilees of two of their Sisters. Between them, Sisters Maureen Griffin and Martha Keenan
have spent 120 years in missionary service.
The main celebrant at the Jubilee Eucharist was Fr. Pat
Donohoe,SSC. Fr. Jim O'Brien, CC, Brittas Bay,
Wicklow also concelebrated.
The homily was give by Sister Bernardine Rushe while
Sister Mary Moylan was the organist for the occasion. |
Sister Maureen Griffin comes from Ballybunion, Co.
Kerry. She has been missioned in Burma and the
Philippines.
Now she now resides at the Motherhouse in
Magheramore, Wicklow.

From Ardagh, Co Longford,
Ireland, Sister Martha Keenan has been missioned in
Hong Kong, Korea, Silver Creek (New York) and London.
She also resides at the Motherhouse in Magheramore.
