On November 22nd, 2003 the Diamond Jubilee of the Profession of Sister Enda Staunton was celebrated in the Central House of the Columban Sisters in Seoul. Sisters, priests, lay missionaries, friends and co-workers of Sister Enda gathered for the occasion. Eucharist was celebrated by Fr. Donal O'Keeffe, SSC while the music and singing was provided by Columban sisters, novice and postulants. At the conclusion of the liturgy two friends, Kim Joahan and Pak Gabriel shared their experiences of working with Sister Enda. They have known her since 1955 when she first arrived in Mokpo with four other Columban Sisters to begin the mission in Korea. The celebartions and sharing continued over an enjoyable meal which followed. |
