Columban Sisters Celebratated

the Golden Jubilee of Religious Profession

On 8 May 2010, seven Columban Sisters came together in Magheramore, Wicklow, to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of their Religious Profession

The Sisters are Mary Mortell, Marie Galvin, Mary Duane, Teresa O’Donnell and Mary McHugh (left to right, back row);

We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day and the presence of so many family members

and Sisters contributed to the joy of the occasion

During the Jubilee Mass, the seven Sisters made Renewal of Vows.

Sister Mary Nolan gave the homily, and during the Prayers of Intercession
two other Golden Jubilarians, Betty Monaghan (US) and Patria Daomilas (Philippines)

who also celebrate their Jubilees at this time were remembered

Jubilate! Deo Ominis Terra - Rejoice! The Lord is God of all the Earth!

 

With a grand tolal of 420 years of Religious Missionary commitment behind them,

the Golden Jubilarians combine their missionary strength to cut the Golden Jubilee cake!
