| On 28 August 2005 Columban Sisters Genevieve Blanchfield and Sheila Lucey celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of their profession. Genevieve comes from Killarney, Co Kerry while Sheila was born in Cork City. For several years Genevieve taught on the West Coast of the United States and then went to the Philippines were she was missioned in Ozamis City and later in Manila. Sheila spent most of her religious life in the Philippines: in Ozamiz City, Olongapo City, Malasiqui and Manila. In more recent years both Genevieve and Sheila have been assigned to Ireland | |
