The Community of Hope in Ozamiz, Philippines is now recognized by the Filipino Government as a Center of Special Education, for children.   On June 9, 2006 in Cagayan de Oro city  Sister Teresita Bernad received the Certificate of Registration and Licence to operate.  This entitles the centre to receive guidance and help from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
