Location: Myanmar, formerly known as Burma, is situated in South-East Asia sandwiched in between Thailand, Bangladesh, India and China.
Religion: The principal religion of Myanmar is Buddhism with a small minority of Muslims, Hindus, Animists and Christians. |
Language: Burmese is the official language but Myanmar haas a variety of languages many of which have different dialects orlocal variations. Economy:
Burma is a country rich in natural resources: minerals, precious stones and timber. However, the benefits of these resources have not reached the
ordinary person in the street who continues to live in
poverty.
