THREE NEW COLUMBAN SISTERS

CELEBRATE FIRST PROFESSION of VOWS
on 22 May, 2010, in SEOUL, KOREA

On a bright, sunny afternoon on 22 May 2010 in Seoul, Korea, three new sisters made their First Profession of Vows. They are Julietta Choi Yoo-jin, Enda Im Mi-ju and Bernadette Lee Hyun-kyung.

The Profession Mass was celebrated in the nearby parish church by Father Donal O’Keeffe, the Director of the Columban Fathers in Korea, accompanied by many other priests. The homily at the Mass was given by Sister Angela Suh, Novice Directress to Julietta, Enda and Bernadette during their two years of Novitiate.

At the end of Mass each of the newly professed Sisters introduced her family and then everyone enjoyed a meal in the Sisters’ Centre House.

The Rite of Profession of Vows

took place just before the Offertory of the Mass.

Each new sister publicly expressed her desire

to give her life to God

within the Columban Sisters’ Community.

Then each Sister knelt before

altar and pronounced

her vows

Family and Sisters join in the Mass prayers
