Tea almost over in the Sisters' dining-room, the news is given that afterwards all will be assembling in the chapel for the special ceremony

Sister Anne Ryan,

Congregational Leader

addresses the gathering,

acknowledging

the importance of the laity

in the mission of the Church

and of their vital role in keeping alive

the spirit of mission

in their local communities.

 

 

Sister Ita Hannaway, author of the book, presents a copy to Catherine Dillon, niece of Sr Maura Dillon, while opposite, Sr Philomena O'Sullivan makes the presentation to Donal Cooney, long serving member of the Sale of Work Finance Committee

 

Mary Wall, the very active Secretary of the Sale of Work Committe, browses through the book

Berndette Galvin , sister of Sr Marie Galvin (Pakistan) and Mary Coleman, sister of Sister Brigid O'Sullivan (Peru), both exchange greetings after they receive their copies of

To conclude the ceremony, Sister Ita addresses the assembled group, sharing with them how a dream she had kept in her heart for many years had at last come true with the release of the new book
