From Friday July 21 to Sunday July 23, 2006 about 70 sisters gathered in Magheramore, the Motherhouse of the Columban Sisters in Ireland, for the opening of the annual 'Columban Gathering'.   All the Areas of Columban mission  were represented by sisters who happen to be on vacation in Ireland at this time.

The theme chosen for the Event was:  'Sharing our Columban Story'. During the days  together there was an opportunity to share  experiences of  the changing realities of  Columban Mission.

Participants  engaged in faith-sharing  in small and  plenary groups.    Prayer rituals and liturgies were also part of the event.

There was time to meet, catch up and spend some relaxing time together.  

The joy in being together, meeting so many Sisters from different missions was one of the high points of the days together.
